Understanding CBD And Choosing The Right Product For You

Posted on

CBD or cannabidiol is becoming more common, and the ways you can use it are expending with it being found in more products every day. CBD pills or capsules are just one way to take CBD, but understanding how it works and what to buy is the first step.

Understanding CBD

Cannabidiol is extracted from hemp plants and has many of the same beneficial properties as marijuana but does not have a high level of THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, the compound that produces the high. In fact, in the US, CBD must have less than .03 percent THC to be legal for sale and use.

CBD tablets or capsules must follow that rule and contain only the CBD and not the THC. They are available in many different strengths to help deal with various health issues. CBD tablets are easy to use because you take them like any pill, but they work slower than a tincture or vaping because they have to be digested to get into the bloodstream.

CBD Dosages

Determining the dose of CBD that is right for you can be difficult because there are not many set standards as cannabidiol is not a controlled substance. In most cases, the recommendation is to start with a small dose and work your way up. There are some high-dose CBD tablets on the market if you need a lot to get the desired results, but you will have to try CBD and ramp your dose up until you feel like it is working for you.

For many people, taking CBD tablets is convenient because they can take it in the morning then go on with their day. If you are using CBD for something like anxiety, a more direct method may be a better option. People that use CBD for pain relief, for instance, might find taking it in tablet form several times a day works well for them.

Quality CBD Options

When you are buying CBD products in any form, it is essential that you know what you are getting. CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD and contains nothing but the cannabidiol after being extracted from the hemp plant. Broad-spectrum CBD will have some of the plant material in it, and full-spectrum CBD is the rawest form with all of the cannabinoids and terpenes in it.

Most CBD tablets are made from isolate because it is the easiest to work with, but many oils, tinctures, and vape juices are available with broad and full-spectrum CBD. While the isolate is often cheaper, for the full effect of cannabidiol, a full-spectrum product is usually a better choice. Talk to the supplier where you buy CBD for details about what they offer.
